As part of a charitable project, Michael Fischer-Art recently dedicated his talent to the KMV Sachsen Children's and Youth Welfare Center in Leipzig-Grünau. The once bleak entrance area with plain walls and a gray floor has been transformed into a vibrant, welcoming space filled with colors and positive energy. Generous surfaces featuring comic-like elements now bring the area to life. Every year, Michael Fischer-Art completes three or four charitable projects, both nationally and internationally, including in Nepal and Kenya. His ultimate goal is always to bring more joy into the lives of children.
To help make this project a reality, we at Antonics donated to the Kulturkorridor Gera Foundation, which provided the high-quality and durable acrylic paints needed for the entrance design. The foundation is dedicated to promoting art and culture throughout Germany, especially in institutions like this one, where children, teenagers, and young families find temporary homes and receive support in developing their creativity and artistic education.
In mid-January, we had the great honor of accompanying Michael Fischer-Art for a day as he worked on-site. We were deeply impressed by the dedication of the educators and social workers who care for around 40 children aged 0 to 18 – with love, commitment, and round-the-clock support, 365 days a year. Their mission: to provide the children with a daily life that feels as normal as possible and to prepare them for an independent future.
Every child not only receives a temporary home but also individual support – from homework assistance to accompaniment on doctor visits. Once a year, the children get the chance to go on a vacation trip together. Organizing this, however, is often challenging due to limited financial resources, but it remains a yearly highlight for the children. Even after turning 18, young adults continue to receive support, either in supervised shared apartments or through ambulatory assistance in their own homes.
It was an honor for us to accompany Michael Fischer-Art on this heartfelt project and to make a small contribution. A huge thank you to Michael Fischer-Art for his artistic contribution and to the Kulturkorridor Gera Foundation for their invaluable work, which we were proud to support with our donation!
Let’s continue working together to make the world a more colorful and better place!
